Job summary

DeVry University is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead a broad, multi-state portfolio of health, retirement, and wellness programs. You will partner with senior leadership, manage brokers and vendors, and drive data-driven improvements to benefit design and delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in benefits, CEBS preferred, and strong leadership of a high-impact benefits program, with a focus on cost efficiency and employee well-being across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in benefits, including multi-state programs.
• CEBS certification preferred.
• Ability to mentor a small team.
• Experience in HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, design, and execution of a comprehensive multi-state benefits portfolio (health, wellness, retirement, disability, time-off).
• Partner with senior leadership to provide insights and updates on benefits strategy and performance.
• Build high-touch relationships with vendors and brokers to ensure service excellence and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with brokers and vendors to optimize plan design, pricing, and delivery.
• Leverage data and AI-enabled tools to inform decisions and improve efficiency.
• Manage open enrollment and ongoing administration while ensuring compliance with ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, and related laws.
