Job summary

Milliman Omaha is seeking an in-office, full-time enrollment support specialist to educate health insurance consumers and guide them through the enrollment process. You will maintain CRM records, build stakeholder relationships, and deliver proactive follow-up to improve satisfaction.

Seasonal, hourly, non-exempt role lasting about 4 months with production incentives for bookings and applications, based in the Milliman Omaha office at 180th & Dodge.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years professional work experience.
  • Health insurance industry experience preferred (employee benefits/personal insurance).
  • 2+ years in customer-facing roles (Customer Success, Advocacy, or Account Management).
  • Strong verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
  • Life & Health license or ability to obtain soon.
  • Comfort with CRM systems and technology tools.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Educate and consult with individual health insurance consumers to help them understand available coverage options
  • Assist customers through the enrollment process with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy
  • Deliver proactive follow-up and ongoing support to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal and external stakeholders, including employees, client decision makers, insurance carriers, and brokers
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in internal systems and CRM platforms
  • Contribute to Milliman's service model by delivering a consistent, high quality customer experience
  • Use customer interactions and feedback to support retention strategies and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED is required for this position, and education will be verified upon an accepted offer of employment
  • Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience
  • Health insurance industry experience in employee benefits and/or personal insurance strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Success, Customer Advocacy, Relationship Management, Account Management, or a similar customer-facing role preferred
  • Current Life & Health insurance license, or the ability to obtain one within a short timeframe
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and customer interactions
  • Strong technical aptitude, including comfort using CRM systems and other technology platforms
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive, with a positive, "can do" attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Passion for helping customers achieve the best possible outcomes
Work Environment

This position is fully in office and based at the Milliman Omaha office. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Omaha, Nebraska on a full-time basis. This is not a remote position.

Milliman Omaha offers a business casual, professional office environment located at 180th & Dodge, where employees work alongside a collaborative team of approximately 75 professionals.

Compensation

A combination of factors will be considered to determine the compensation for this role, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.This is a non-exempt overtime eligible role. This role is a seasonal/temporary, hourly, non-exempt, full-time position expected to last approximately 4 months.

This role also includes production-based incentives tied to two primary activities:

  1. Bookings

Meetings with individuals to consult and educate on health insurance options. These typically take approximately 45 minutes.

  • Incentive: $40 for each fully completed and documented booking
  1. Applications

Completion of insurance applications with carriers. These typically take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • 1-100: $10 per Application
  • 101-500: $12 per Application
  • 501-1000: $15 per Application
  • 1001+: $18 per Application
Additional Information
  • Ability to work on a full-time basis is required
  • This role is a seasonal/temporary, hourly, non-exempt, full-time position expected to last approximately 4 months, with an anticipated end date of January 1, 2027. The duration of the assignment may be adjusted based on business needs and does not guarantee ongoing employment beyond the assignment period.
  • The expected application deadline for this position is August 24th
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future
