Job summary

The Misch Group is seeking an Employee Benefits CSR in California to lead client engagements across implementation, renewals and ongoing service. This client-facing role requires expertise in benefit programs, HR administration, underwriting principles, and plan design options.

Responsibilities include open enrollment leadership, carrier negotiations, and compliance with ACA rules. Strong communication and organization are essential to manage multiple employer client accounts effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in benefits brokerage or HR benefits roles.
• Advanced knowledge of medical, dental, vision and ancillary benefits.
• Strong understanding of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, 5500 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead client implementations, renewals, open enrollment and ongoing service.
• Onboard new clients with carriers, prepare internal docs, complete paperwork.
• Lead renewal negotiations and plan alternatives with senior oversight as needed.
• Manage RFP processes: compare carrier proposals and align with client objectives.
• Present proposals with recommendations and model impact on costs and coverage.
• Address ACA compliance and affordability calculations and penalties.
