The Benefits Consultant II will support the Engage PEO Sales, Sales leadership team, and broker referral channels in marketing, sales, and service of employee benefit plans for clients and prospects. This position actively supports sales leadership in soliciting new PEO business and agency-led initiatives, providing mentoring and partnership to Benefit Operations, Service Center, Implementation, and Account Management teams.
Essential Duties and Job Requirements:
- Direct the benefits strategy for a team of salespeople, brokers, and prospects.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with profitability, product/segment requirements, underwriting goals, and client needs, including proactive relationship building.
- Collaborate with sales, prospects, and implementation teams to ensure successful onboarding and long-term benefit strategies within Engage systems and tools.
- Support sales leaders in developing new business opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
- Assist with pre-sale, onboarding, and proposal development for accounts.
- Monitor benefits proposals and coordinate underwriting sign-offs, acting as the primary benefits liaison during implementation.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stay informed of market dynamics, including competitors, to position Engage competitively.
- Keep internal teams updated on product updates, market changes, and regulatory dynamics.
- Educate new clients on onboarding and benefits enrollment processes.
- Support annual benefits renewal processes in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements for clients and organizational efficiency.
- Participate in special projects supporting organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in health benefits.
- PEO experience preferred, especially supporting master policy growth.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with ClientSpace, Prism, SharePoint preferred.
- FL Health insurance license (215) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Knowledge of the health insurance industry, including ACA and compliance, preferred.
Compensation:
The annual salary range is $90,000 - $95,000, subject to regional location, skills, and experience. Some positions may include bonuses or incentives.
