Job summary

ZS Associates seeks an experienced Benefits Specialist—Compliance, Policy & Leave to lead global benefits compliance and policy authorship. You will monitor regulatory changes, draft policy language, and partner with Legal to ensure robust leave administration across regions, with a focus on U.S.

federal/state law. You will own governance for policy documents, notices, and audit readiness, while advising HR teams on correct policy application and complex cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, IR, or related field; JD/paralegal a plus.
• 5+ years in benefits with compliance, regulatory interpretation, and policy drafting.
• FMLA, ADA, HIPAA experience; state programs like NY PFL/CA PFL/NJ TDI.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary compliance resource for global benefits and regulatory changes.
• Draft, revise, and maintain benefits, leave, and time-off policies with legally sound language.
• Collaborate with Legal to translate guidance into operational policy and process.
• Own governance framework for policy documents, approvals, and notices.
• Provide regulatory oversight of statutory leave across countries and manage accommodations under ADA.
