Job summary

Avient seeks a Benefits Analyst to support a seamless, employee-centered benefits and leave experience for active employees and retirees. You will partner with the Benefits Manager and HR teams to analyze data, manage plan administration, and drive improvements across health and welfare programs.

The role emphasizes problem solving, prioritization, and translating data into compliant, practical solutions that benefit the business and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing benefits data and costs to keep plans cost-effective.
• Ability to draft employee communications and informational literature.
• Experience coordinating leave programs (FMLA, disability, etc.) and vendor interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes costs, usage and market trend data for current benefit plans.
• Monitors legislative changes affecting health and welfare plans.
• Drafts informational literature and communication materials for employees and retirees.
• Oversees and administers Leave of Absence Program including FMLA and disability.
• Partners with vendors in health and welfare benefit administration.
• Coordinates payment of vendor invoices and surveys benefit program practices.
• Responds to HR manager and employee inquiries about benefits and policies.
• Implements intranet updates related to benefits.
• Ensures HRIS is updated with status changes and invoices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
