Job summary

Marsh & McLennan in Walnut Creek is seeking a Benefits Analyst to support the Client Service Team with data gathering, renewal processes, and RFP materials. You will coordinate enrollment activities, maintain client and carrier information, and respond to questions from clients and carriers.

Ideal candidates have health and welfare benefits knowledge, 3 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Must possess a basic understanding of health and welfare plan benefits.
• Bachelor degree strongly preferred.
• Maintain a valid, unrestricted State of California Life & Disability License and meet CE requirements.
• Maintain a valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint to include tables, charts, graphs and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Support the Client Service Team with the renewal process.
• Gather census data, renewal plan design and rate information, and historical claims experience for renewals and RFPs.
• Provide information to Benefit Analysts and respond to questions for clarification as needed.
• Market clients for renewal and evaluate market proposals for benefits, premiums, and competitiveness.
• Prepare and coordinate enrollment materials and client presentations.
• Coordinate with carriers for smooth plan implementation and enrollment.
• Maintain Agency Management System and ImageRight System.
• Provide day-to-day client service and research/resolve coverage or administrative issues.
