Job summary

Higginbotham seeks a Benefits Analyst to interpret SBCs, SPDs, and client benefit information, accurately completing PRDs and benefit book templates.

You will collaborate with the Project Manager to understand changes, gather necessary materials, and ensure all benefits data is correctly transferred into templates while maintaining Higginbotham standards and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in health insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• General lines insurance license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret SBCs, SPDs, and benefits summaries and ensure correct transfer to PRD and benefit templates.
• Work with Project Manager to understand changes and collateral needed for the client.
• Obtain background information and materials to enable project completion.
• Review work for consistency, accuracy, and wholeness and adhere to Higginbotham standards.
• Inform Project Manager and Content Writer when information is ready or needs clarification.
• Maintain organization and usage of content library and balance multiple assignments with quick turnarounds.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes with the team.

Position Summary

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for interpreting Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs) and any client-specific benefit information provided to accurately complete the department’s Project Requirements Document (PRD), and benefit book templates.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Manager to understand the changes needed or the collateral to be created for the client.
• Obtain all necessary background information and materials and ask relevant questions to enable project completion.
• Effectively interpret SBCs, SPDs, benefits summaries and marketing spreadsheets and ensure the information is accurately transferred to or annotated in the PRD and other benefit templates.
• Review all work for consistency, accuracy, and wholeness.
• Ensure edits consistently follow our Higginbotham standard for benefits information.
• Promptly inform Project Manager and Content Writer when information is ready for next step or when information needs to be clarified or provided.
• Comply with organization and usage of content library.
• Balance a workload of several competing assignments with quick turnaround times.
• Proactively identify opportunities and work with team to improve processes.

Experience and Education
