Job summary

Higginbotham Insurance Agency, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Analyst to interpret SBCs, SPDs and client benefit information, accurately completing the PRD and benefit templates. You will work with the Project Manager to implement the required collateral and ensure data accuracy across formats.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and up-to-date knowledge of benefits regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Asana, and Monday.com is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret SBCs, SPDs, benefits summaries and marketing data and ensure accurate transfer to PRD and benefit templates.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to understand changes and collateral needed for the client.
  • Gather background information and ask relevant questions to enable project completion.
  • Review work for consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Inform Project Manager and Content Writer when information is ready for next steps.

Job description

The BenefitsAnalyst is responsible for interpretingSummariesof Benefits and Coverage(SBCs) and anyclient-specific benefit information provided to accurately complete the department's Project Requirements Document (PRD), and benefit book templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Manager to understand thechanges needed or the collateral to be created for the client.
  • Obtainall necessary background information and materialsandaskrelevantquestionsto enableprojectcompletion.
  • Effectively interpret SBCs, SPDs, benefits summaries and marketing spreadsheets and ensure the information is accurately transferred to or annotated in the PRD and other benefit templates.
  • Review all work for consistency, accuracy, and wholeness.
  • Ensure edits consistently follow our Higginbotham standard for benefits information.
  • Promptly inform Project Manager and Content Writer when information is readyfor next steporwheninformationneeds to be clarified or provided.
  • Comply withorganization and usage of content library.
  • Balance a workload of several competing assignments with quick turnaround times.
  • Proactively identify opportunitiesand work with teamto improve processes.

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum ofthreeyears of experienceinhealth insurance.
  • General lines insurance license preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens.
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person.
  • Repetitive hand movements, such asworking onkeyboardandwriting.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Agency Management System (AMS) is acceptable
