About Us
Easterseals, a national nonprofit, has supported individuals with disabilities for over 50 years. Its Agency with Choice program offers an alternative to traditional provider-managed services, empowering participants to manage their support and services with increased choice and authority.
What You’ll Do
The Benefits Administrator ensures the efficient daily operation of employee benefits administration and processing.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Advises employees and managers on a range of benefits, including health and welfare plans, voluntary benefits, time off policies, retirement plans, work leaves, workers’ compensation, and disability.
- Leads benefits-focused sessions during new hire orientation, delivering engaging training through webinars and in-person sessions at ENJ facilities across New Jersey.
- Reconciles multiple benefit invoices, verifying proper cost-sharing deductions through payroll and ensuring missed deductions are collected.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, resolve bottlenecks, and manage leave administration, workers’ compensation claims, and retirement plans.
- Educates and supports employees on leave of absence (LOA) procedures, maintaining accurate tracking of LOAs, system updates, and supplemental pay adjustments.
- Develops and implements new benefit initiatives, such as wellness programs, to enhance employee well-being.
- Coordinates ENJ’s open enrollment program in partnership with the benefits broker.
Who You Are
- Education: Bachelor’s degree on Human Resources or related field.
- Experience: 1 year of previous experience in benefits administration, human resources, or related field.
- Requirements: Proficient in Excel with experience in group benefit programs, open enrollment planning, and a foundational understanding of leave of absence policies.
- Skills: Skilled communicator adept at managing multiple priorities, collaborating within teams and independently, while maintaining highly confidential and sensitive HR information with discretion.
