Job summary

Main Street Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to service and grow a complex group benefits book, locally and nationally. You will serve as the liaison between clients and carriers, lead renewal discussions in the absence of senior staff, and ensure timely, accurate communications and documentation.

You will educate clients on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, PCORI, 5500s, and Health Care Reform while maintaining strong carrier relationships and supporting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or industry designation preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years in employee benefits or related marketplace.
• Current Life & Health Insurance license in the state of business required.
• Strong computer literacy with MS Office, Epic, Employee Navigator, and carrier systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between clients and carriers and retain clients through service.
• Lead client meetings regarding renewals and utilization when Account Executive/Producer is absent.
• Prepare materials for client meetings, including agendas, reports, calendars.
• Educate clients on compliance topics including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, PCORI, 5500s and Health Care Reform.
• Educate and advise clients on benefits plans and renewal changes.
• Develop carrier relationships and support team development.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
