Job summary

Gables Search Group in Chicago seeks an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to support and service group benefits clients in a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on day-to-day benefits administration and client relationships.

You will coordinate renewals, enrollments, plan changes, and communications with carriers, TPAs, and internal teams, ensuring accurate records and timely service.

Qualifications

• Active Life & Health license required.
• Minimum 1 year of benefits or group insurance experience.
• Knowledge of group health, dental, vision, life and disability products.
• Strong customer service, communication and relationship skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with multi-priority management.
• Experience with carriers, TPAs and benefits administration processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• HubSpot or similar CRM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day servicing for assigned employee benefits accounts.
• Support renewals, enrollments, policy changes, terminations and ongoing maintenance.
• Build and maintain relationships with employer groups, carriers, TPAs and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate delivery of plan materials, communications and benefits documentation.
• Assist clients with claims, billing questions and carrier escalations.
• Work with carriers and TPAs to resolve service and policy matters.
• Maintain accurate records in agency management and CRM systems.
• Provide hands-on support during open enrollment and employee education.
• Stay informed on benefits trends, compliance updates and carrier offerings.
• Support client retention and service initiatives through responsive communication.
