Job summary

Higginbottom Insurance Agency, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to maintain relationships with fully insured and level funded clients.

You will support Producers in acquiring new business and renewing existing plans, acting as the advocate for clients and employees with carriers. The role requires a Life & Health license, 5 years in employee benefits/account management, and proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Applied Epic.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Employee Benefits and Account Management experience in the insurance field required.
• Experience with ACA and ERISA preferred.
• Experience with fully insured financial arrangements and alternative-funding methods preferred.
• Active Life & Health License required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between client, prospect, agency and producer; handle complaints and disputes.
• Manage client service requests and coordinate with carriers on proposals and renewals.
• Support producers in marketing accounts and submitting data for quotes.
• Review proposals for accuracy and assist in creating presentations.
• Calculate premiums and payroll deductions and audit billing statements for clients.
• Conduct open enrollment presentations and process carrier paperwork.
• Ensure smooth carrier transitions and keep agency files updated.
• Maintain knowledge of carrier changes and relevant laws; educate clients and team members.
