Role
The Benefits Account Manager supports the sale of and provides service for customers. This role is responsible for changes, updates, and value-added services related to employee benefits. It is not involved in the administration of employee benefits as typically handled by a Human Resources department. This is a full‑time, onsite role. The office location can be found on the company website.
Responsibilities
- Process policy changes and respond to enquiries with professionalism and timeliness.
- Answer client questions regarding payments and notices.
- Process endorsements for clients.
- Manage a diverse book of house accounts.
- Cross‑sell additional lines of business to existing customers.
- Support designated staff.
- Review and respond to renewal activities.
- Follow up and see tasks through to completion.
- Always protect the best interest of both the company and the customer.
Qualifications
- Experienced in supporting the sale of employee benefits.
- Strong multi‑tasking ability; can manage different projects and tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Cross‑training opportunities available for life insurance, annuities, and long‑term care.
- Licensed: current license required.
- Quick learner; can pick up new things rapidly.
- Computer literate; ready to use and learn technology across various portals and software programs.
- Excellent communication skills, able to speak and write in a clear and calm manner, ensuring customer satisfaction above all.
- Organization: ability to plan and operate in a well‑organized manner.
- Team oriented: ability to incorporate well with the existing team, maintaining a positive attitude and good energy in the workplace.
Education and Certification
- Active license appropriate to the line of business is required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
