Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC seeks a Bakery Department Supervisor to oversee guest service, merchandising, and daily bakery operations. After training, you may be assigned to a bench role and placed within 30 miles of home, with opportunities to advance to a Department Manager position when openings arise.

You will supervise hosts, ensure product quality, manage inventory and scheduling, and uphold Lowes Foods standards for sanitation and safety while driving sales and profits.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of bakery operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
