Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is hiring for a Bakery Department Supervisor/Bench Department Manager to oversee guest service, merchandising programs, and department operations. The role covers bakery operations across Concord, Kannapolis, Mooresville, and Harrisburg areas with training and bench-to-manager progression within 30 miles of home.

Responsibilities include maintaining service standards, achieving sales budgets, inventory control, sanitation, and staff guidance.

• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the bakery department.

After training, Bench Department Managers are expected to fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of their home. If no position is open, they will remain in their bench role until one becomes available.

This position would support store locations in the Concord, Kannapolis, Mooresville, and Harrisburg areas.

8. Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
9. Must be at least 18 years old.
10. Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
11. Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
12. Ability to work well with computers.
