Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Bench Department Manager to supervise bakery operations, uphold guest service, and ensure department standards.

After training, you may be placed within 30 miles of home; you will manage staffing, inventory, and merchandising while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the bakery department.

After training, Bench Department Managers are expected to fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of their home. If no position is open, they will remain in their bench role until one becomes available.
