Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
• Able to work in a cold environment.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and operate a computer.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise Beef Shoppe and seafood department staff to meet guest service and sales goals.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and gross profits for the departments.
• Prepare products for sale (cutting, wrapping, weighing, pricing) according to standards.
• Maintain inventory levels and proper ordering for in-stock conditions.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards across prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure satisfactory performance and guest interactions.
• Manage labor budgets and schedule optimal department hours to maximize sales.

Overview

To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the beef shoppe/seafood department to achieve maximum sales. Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the Beef Shoppe staff. Creates a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
• Achieves budgeted sales, supply/wrap, shrink, and gross profits for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments.
• Prepare products for sale (meat cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing) according to Lowes Foods Standards.
• Maintains the desired level of inventory and supplies for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
• Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the Beef Shoppe and seafood department staff to ensure Beef Shoppe hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
• Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintains the department's labor budget and ensures that optimal hours are scheduled for the department to maximize sales and guest service.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Should possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others. Ability to sell and interact with guests.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including operating a computer.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
