Job summary

AMMEGA is seeking a Production Supervisor in Reading, PA to oversee the assembly line from raw materials to finished belt. You will train, coach, and support assemblers to meet daily orders while maintaining safety and quality programs.

You will schedule and maintain production boards across lines, approve expedites, release assembly orders, and collaborate with other plant departments. A proven supervisory background and strong communication skills are required; willingness to work in a

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the assembly line from raw materials to finished belt.
  • Trains, coaches, and supports the assemblers to ensure daily orders are completed.
  • Evaluates the efficiency of employees and suggests improvements.
  • Schedules and maintains production boards on all assembly lines.
  • Approves and follows expedites through the assembly process.
  • Releases orders for assembly and ensures line barriers are addressed.
  • Works with other departments within the plant to meet company goals.
  • Encourages a continuous improvement culture.

  • Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
  • Oversees the assembly line from raw materials to finished belt.
  • Trains, coaches, and supports the assemblers to ensure their line is properly equipped to complete daily orders.
  • Evaluates the efficiency of employees and makes suggestions for permanent hire.
  • Performs any other tasks required to ensure the departments goals are met as directed by management.
  • Able to Schedule and maintain production boards on all assembly lines
  • Approves and follows expedites through entire assembly process
  • Release orders for assembly
  • Ensures all line barriers are promptly addressed.
  • Works directly with other departments within the plant
  • Performs any other tasks required to ensure the Company goals are met as directed by management

Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Continuing education via various training seminars and/or college credits.
  • Must be a solid communicator.
  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
  • Experience in a supervisory role and/or proven leadership competency.
  • Experience or proven ability to manage multiple employees.
  • Must be able to work in the US
Physical Demands
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
