Job summary

The Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT is seeking a friendly bellman to assist hotel guests with luggage, vehicle arrival, and information about local events.

You will maintain a visible lobby presence, help guests with doors, shuttle runs, and seasonal duties, while ensuring a warm, responsive guest experience.

This full-time role offers opportunities to contribute to a welcoming environment at a historic Vermont lodge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent lobby presence for prompt and efficient guest service.
• Assist arriving and departing guests with portage, door opening, parking and information about Stowe and TFL in particular.
• Deliver baggage of arriving and departing coaches.
• Maintain front entrance by sweeping and shoveling and cleaning ash trays.
• Complete seasonal tasks such as shoveling balconies, shuttle runs, and fireplace duties.
• Make deliveries of gifts, flowers and other amenities.
• Cover switchboard agents during breaks or staff shortages.

Job description

Serves hotel guests by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintains consistent lobby presence for prompt and efficient guest service.
• Ensure arriving and departing guests receive immediate attention through portage, door opening,

parking and information about Stowe and TFL in particular.

• Maintain awareness of current events and all incoming groups and their needs.
• Promptly and accurately deliver baggage of arriving and departing coaches.
• Maintain clean front entrance through sweeping/ shoveling of front, cleaning ash trays and

picking up any refuse.

• Complete seasonal tasks as necessary, including but not limited to: shoveling balconies, shuttle

runs, starting fires in fireplaces, etc.

• Make deliveries of gifts, flowers and other amenities.
• Cover switchboard agents during breaks or staff shortages.
