Job summary

AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on the UT Austin campus seeks a full-time Bell Person to assist guests with luggage, escort services, and general front-of-house support. The role requires availability for morning and evening shifts and a commitment to delivering exceptional Platinum Service standards.

Work hours typically include 7AM-3PM and 2-10:30PM, with duties spanning luggage handling, guest assistance, and coordination of arrivals/departures on the front drive.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work AM and PM shifts daily.
• Able to assist guests with luggage and convey information with courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the transport and storage of guests' luggage to guest rooms and conference center.
• Assist with guest packages when needed.
• Log all trips with guest luggage.
• Maintain a clean appearance of uniforms.
• Be knowledgeable about all hotel amenities.
• Engage guests with pleasant conversations about hotel promotions.
• Keep bell closets and bell carts clean and organized.
• Answer phones in lower lobby when needed.
• Provide Platinum Service standards and create an excellent first impression.
• Maintain a presence in the Front Drive during shift hours.
• Greet guests courteously and use their name when possible.
• Coordinate arrivals and departures on the front drive.
• Demonstrate Platinum Service standards in all interactions.
• Stay observant and respond to guests passing through entrances.
• Assist Housekeeping with lobby/entryway cleanliness.
• Follow hotel telephone etiquette.
• Report suspicious persons or behavior to Loss Prevention.
• Ensure adherence to Code of Ethics

Come join our Guest Servies team as a full-time Bell Person! We are AT&T Hotel and Conference Center located in the heart of UT Campus, Hook 'em!

*Individual MUST have AM and PM availability daily, shift typically run from 7AM-3PM and 2-10:30PM

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

To provide assistance and services to guests in order to ensure that their arrival and departure experience is pleasurable and informative.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assist in the transport and storage of guests'luggage to guest room and conference center
2. Assist with guest packages when needed
3. To properly “log” all trips with guest luggage
4. Responsible for a clean appearance of uniforms
5. Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities
6. To have pleasant conversations with guests abouthotel promotional programs
7. Ensure cleanliness of bell closets and bell carts
8. Answer phones in lower lobby when needed
9. Welcomes and assists guests’ according to PLATNIUM SERVICE Standards.
10. Providing an excellent first impression to guests
11. Maintains a presence in the Front Drive throughout the hours of the shift.
12. Greets all guests courteously, using the guest’s name whenever possible.
13. Assist with the coordination of the arrivals and departures on the front drive
14. Demonstrates PLATINUM SERVICE Standards in all interactions.
15. Remains observant and responds to each guest who passes through entrances.
16. Assists Housekeeping in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the Hotel Lobby and Entry way.
17. Follows Hotel’s telephone etiquette standards.
18. Reports suspicious people, behavior, and vehicles to Loss Prevention
19. Ensures adherence to Code of Ethics
