Job summary

The Beacon Hotel & Corporate Quarters, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts in Washington, DC, is seeking a guest-focused team member. You will assist guests with luggage, explain hotel facilities, and provide superior front-of-house service at the lobby, bell stand, and during arrivals and departures.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, maintaining lobby areas, and coordinating valet and airport transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, respond to questions, knowledge of hotel services and local area events.
• Ability to drive vans, limousines, and automobiles with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift/move luggage up to 75 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit and perform duties with/without accommodation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Show guests to room and assist with luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, hours, and answer questions.
• Check luggage for day/overnight stays.
• Maintain lobby/bell stand area cleanliness.
• Open doors and greet guests warmly.
• Post daily events/entertainment boards in lobby.
• Communicate across shifts via intershift log.
• Deliver messages and valet to guest rooms.
• Perform airport pick-up/drop-off in a timely, friendly manner.
• Park guest vehicles and manage valet flow.
