Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group on Guam is seeking a friendly guest relations host who greets guests, assists with information and luggage, and supports the guest relations team. You will maintain familiarity with all hotel facilities, coordinate with other departments, and help ensure a smooth arrival for guests at the property.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, local knowledge, and active participation in hotel events and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Must have Guam AB&G License to drive a 15 Passenger Bus.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, mainly 5pm-10pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• Must be work on Weekends, Holidays and Inclement Weather.
• Must be able to work on Guam, USA without restrictions.
• US Citizens or US Permanent Residents, Residents of FSM

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests courteously and professionally.
• Provide information and assistance to guests and support the guest relations teams.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, hours, and promotions.
• Coordinate with departments to promote teamwork and high service quality.
• Assist with luggage handling and valet parking procedures.
• Read guest luggage tags on arrival and assist front desk for smooth arrival.
• Greet and guide guests to the hotel and assist with rooming as needed.
• Participate in hotel events and training sessions.
• Speak Japanese and English preferred to assist international guests

What’s the job?

There’s nothing more welcoming than a friendly smile. You will be a helpful host, a local expert and a proud brand ambassador. Greet and welcome all guests courteously and professionally. Take care in handling their personal belongings. Provide information and assistance to guests and support the guest relations teams.

• Maintains detailed knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the hotel including
  the location, the hours of opening, and special promotions, banqueting events

• Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination
  with other departments

• May regularly inspect and clear hotel entrance and surrounding areas of litter and debris.

• Maintains accurate knowledge about transport options to key places of interest, from and
  to the 2 airports, train stations, city air terminal.

• Maintains accurate knowledge about key places of interest to visitors such as hours of
  opening, special exhibitions, location, will learn from the In the know board all concierge
  favorite places

• Assists and carries luggage for all guests and visitors to the hotel.

• Assists with valet parking, loading and unloading luggage, whilst following procedures
  of luggage storage and safekeeping at all times.

• To read guest luggage tag upon arrival with taxi and doorman inform front desk or
  guest relation for a smooth arrival

• To be fully aware of all VIP arrival of the day

• Maintains the luggage storage facilities in a clean and tidy condition at all times.

• Greets, assists and guides all guests and visitors to the hotel.

• Performs personal services such as delivering messages and packages, and giving
  business information as requested

• Cleans and maintains baggage room, baggage trolleys, all elevators, Fitness and porter’s
  desk.

• Assists in maintaining cleanliness of lobby, port cochere and uses initiative to report
  repairs to Maintenance/Concierge.

• Assists with the rooming of guests, explaining facilities in room and in hotel en route.

• Actively participate at all hotel events and training sessions

• Being able to speak both Japanese and English is preferred
