Primary Objective of Position:
Provide a professional and courteous demeanor to all guests and clients. Provide accurate information to all inquiries regarding the hotel, city and surrounding area. Escort arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Maintain the driveway traffic flow to allow main hotel entrance accessibility ensuring ample space for passenger and luggage loading and unloading
- Retrieve guest items from cars, busses, vans and carts. Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and package onto a bell cart to transport items throughout hotel designated room. Navigate bell cart through public areas, guest room corridors and to elevators
- Escort guests to accommodations; visually inspect room and telephone any deficiencies or guest requests to housekeeping immediately. Point out room features and directory for reference
- Directs guest flow through hotel giving assistance and directions to restaurants, Chuan Spa and other guest/client facilities
- Ability to listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, function rooms, other hotel services and directions to local attractions
- Ability to work in and outdoors in vast changes in temperature dependent upon weather conditions
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50+ pounds; job frequently requires standing, bending, walking, kneeling, crouching and stooping
- Ability to communicate effectively in English to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks; to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists
- Communicate guest parking procedures and applicable costs to arriving guests/clients
Experience Required:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- 2 years of previous customer service experience required
- Valid Driver’s Licensed required; provide evidence of insurability
Salary Range:
$14.25 - $17.81/hour, plus discretionary gratuities
