Job summary

Spire Hospitality, LLC is seeking a Front Desk/Bell Person in California to greet guests, assist with luggage, deliver items, and support the guest experience at the hotel across a range of duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class B driver's license, and prior guest service or hospitality experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off, plus hotel discounts.

Essential Job Functions

• Train all bell persons and van drivers
• Inspect van on a daily basis for cleanliness and safety
• Schedule bell persons to insure adequate coverage
• Ensure all VIP’s are personally greeted and escorted to their guest rooms
• Attend meetings as designated
• Periodically inventory all equipment and supplies to ensure adequate quantities
• Maintain rack brochure with adequate levels
• Perform any reasonable task deemed necessary by the Front Office Manager
• Pick up and deliver guest laundry to and from guest rooms in a timely, accurate manner
• Deliver morning newspapers, Checkout packets, mail, packages, faxes, etc. to specific guest rooms.
• Clean and polish carts and other equipment used in the department.
• Answer the Bell Desk phone and provide information as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor such as assisting as door person or Valet when necessary.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Valid, current class B driver’s license.
• Prior guest service or other hospitality experience required.
• Additional language ability preferred.
