Job summary

A hospitality management company based in California is seeking a candidate to train staff and ensure top-notch guest services. You will be responsible for inspecting vehicles, scheduling staff, and delivering items to guests. A valid class B driver’s license is required, along with a high school diploma. Qualifications

• Valid, current class B driver's license.
• No prior experience required; prior guest service or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train bell persons and van drivers
• Inspect van daily for cleanliness and safety
• Schedule bell persons for coverage
• Ensure VIPs are greeted and escorted to rooms
• Attend designated meetings
• Inventory equipment and supplies periodically
• Maintain rack brochure with adequate levels
• Complete tasks assigned by Front Office Manager
• Deliver guest laundry in a timely manner
• Deliver newspapers and packages to rooms
• Clean and polish carts and equipment
• Provide information over the bell desk phone
• Assist as door person or valet when necessary

Essential Job Functions

• Train all bell persons and van drivers
• Inspect van on a daily basis for cleanliness and safety
• Schedule bell persons to ensure adequate coverage
• Ensure all VIP's are personally greeted and escorted to their guest rooms
• Attend meetings as designated
• Periodically inventory all equipment and supplies to ensure adequate quantities
• Maintain rack brochure with adequate levels
• Perform any reasonable task deemed necessary by the Front Office Manager
• Pick up and deliver guest laundry to and from guest rooms in a timely, accurate manner
• Deliver morning newspapers, checkout packets, mail, packages, faxes, etc. to specific guest rooms
• Clean and polish carts and other equipment used in the department
• Answer the bell desk phone and provide information as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor such as assisting as door person or valet when necessary

Physical Demands

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Valid, current class B driver's license
• No prior experience required; prior guest service or other hospitality experience preferred
• Additional language ability preferred
