Bristol Public Schools is seeking a BEHS Drama Assistant Director (Stipend) for the 2026-2027 School Year. The position includes responsibilities in managing instructional theatre programs, overseeing backstage activities, and ensuring student compliance with school rules.

Applicants must hold the appropriate certification from Connecticut and be able to manage various aspects of drama production including costumes, props, and schedules.

Responsabilités

• Implement instructional theatre program, run scenes with actors, provide line‑running, distribute notes from rehearsals, and teach blocking and performance skills.
• Manage schedules, organize sign‑ins, assist with call sheets, and coordinate backstage activities like set changes and quick changes.
• Help design and implement costumes, props, sound, lighting, and scenic elements, often managing their creation and maintenance.
• Monitor and manage student behavior to create a conducive learning environment and ensure compliance with school rules.
• Serve as a point of contact for students, parents, and staff, communicating needs and information related to the drama program.
• Help with administrative tasks such as creating props lists, organizing fittings, and managing costumes.
