Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in Santa Clara County is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children on the Autism Spectrum in the afternoons. The role focuses on building social and communication skills while supporting children in a clinical or home-based setting.

You will document progress, implement behavior plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and collaborate with families and care teams. Evening and weekend shifts may be available depending on needs.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College coursework in psychology/education/social work/behavioral science or 1 year of experience with children.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
