Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Behavioral Technician (PRN) to support adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting at Cuba - Crawford Commons. The role emphasizes safety, daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and creating a structured, supportive environment.

This part-time position offers hands-on care, flexible schedule as needed, and requires HS diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to obtain a MO class E license.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • At least 1 year of work experience or self-employment.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license on hire; ability to obtain MO class E license by end of 60-day period.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors.
  • Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
  • Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
  • Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs.
  • Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided)
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving required)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living space.
  • Participate in emergency response and safety procedures
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time

A Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor) provides support to adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting.


In this role, you’ll ensure the safety, well-being, and daily success of the individuals we serve. You’ll provide hands‑on support with daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and more - all while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

WORK EXPERIENCE


  • At least one (1) year of work experience or self‑employment required

  • A valid unrestricted driver's license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's license by the end of 60-day introductory period required

  • Basic computer skills required
