Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is hiring a Behavioral Technician to ensure behavior management programs are implemented for people served. The role involves building rapport, following treatment plans, and collaborating with families and the treatment team.

A valid driver’s license and travel between locations are required. The position offers evening shifts with part-time or full-time options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience working with behavioral needs is required.
• RBT credential preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the person served.
• Follow the treatment plan goals and interventions with sound judgment.
• Collaborate with families and treatment teams on behavior management techniques.
• Educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention information when requested.
• Promote safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
• Review progress using behavior analytic methods and report to supervisors as needed.
• Accurately collect behavior data (A-B-C, frequency, duration, etc.).
• Ensure all related documentation is completed timely and accurately.
• Prepare for leisure activities when therapy sessions are not taking place.
• Attend clinical meetings as assigned.
• Provide up-to-date residential status of participants and propose solutions.
