Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 48 college credits, with 3 math and 3 English credits.
  • AA or AS degree or higher acceptable.
  • ParaPro Assessment completed or eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Implements ABA program and BIP with fidelity for students with challenging behavior.
  • Builds rapport and social interaction by pairing as a supportive figure.
  • Promotes replacement behaviors and fades prompts to support independence.
  • Provides access to reinforcers to increase appropriate behaviors.
  • Oversees independent study and small group instruction per plan.
  • Assists and accompanies students off campus for instructional programs.
  • Collects and maintains behavioral data (ABA, ABC, frequency, duration).
  • Delivers evidence-based instructional support per IEP/ABA programs.
  • Reports student progress and recommendations to supervisors and teachers.
  • Participates in meetings and trainings to stay current with methods.
