Job summary

Qualifications

• 48 semester credits of bachelor-level courses including 3 in English and 3 in Math.
• AA or AS degree with minimum 48 bachelor-level credits recognized by Hawaii DoE.
• Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (ETS).

Responsibilities

• Implements ABA program and BIP with fidelity.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with students to build social interaction.
• Promotes safe, replacement behaviors and fades prompts for independence.
• Collects and records behavioral data (ABC, frequency, duration, latency, etc.).
• Provides instructional support per IEP/ABA; guides independent practice.
• Oversees small group instruction and off-campus instructional activities.
• Reports progress and provides follow-up recommendations to supervisors.
• Participates in meetings and trainings to stay current with methods.
