Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking a Behavioral Technician I to support clients on their recovery journey. You will collaborate with the treatment team, monitor progress, document behaviors, and assist with daily activities in a supportive setting.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to follow safety and program policies. Part-time schedule includes training and potential growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent with two (2) years of responsible employment history.
• Bachelor’s Degree OR MAADC I or II for St. Louis County Programs.
• First Aid and CPR certifications within three (3) months of beginning employment.
• Valid Driver’s license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to program expectations and rules, reporting behaviors to supervisors to assist with therapeutic interventions.
• Participate actively in the treatment team, identifying clients' strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
• Document and report exceptional behaviors and areas of concern during shift changes and in client records.
• Assist in the admission and orientation process, including obtaining vital signs and conducting safety searches.
• Coordinate incoming calls and respond to crisis situations as necessary.
• Educate and assist clients in performing daily activities as needed.
• Monitor client activities and document relevant behaviors, including bed checks during overnight shifts.
• Adhere to medication policies and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure compliance.
