Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Behavioral Technician (Community Living Instructor) to support adults with behavioral health needs in residential or community settings. You will promote safety, independence, and daily living skills while delivering hands-on support and monitoring.

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 6:45am–3:15pm, totaling 40 hours weekly. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain Missouri class E license within 60 days;

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• At least one year of work experience or self-employment.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license at hire; must obtain MO class E license by 60 days.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as CNA or CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors.
• Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
• Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
• Provide basic care and assist with personal needs.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities; driving is required.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Participate in emergency response and safety procedures.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.

A Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor) provides support to adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting. In this role, you'll ensure the safety, well-being, and daily success of the individuals we serve. You'll provide hands-on support with daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and more - all while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment. Key Responsibilities

• Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors
• Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs
• Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition
• Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs
• Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided)
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving is required)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
• Participate in emergency response and safety procedures
• Complete documentation accurately and on time

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A valid unrestricted driver's license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's license by the end of 60-day introductory period required
