Job summary

Compass Health Network is seeking a Behavioral Technician in Missouri to support adults with behavioral health needs in a residential setting. The role emphasizes safety, daily living skills, social engagement, and behavior management while creating a structured environment.

The position is full-time with a Wednesday–Sunday schedule and a $19.00/hour wage. Interior title is Community Living Instructor; you’ll aid independence, monitor progress, and collaborate with a care team to promote

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of work experience or self-employment.
  • Must have or obtain a MO driver's license by end of introductory period; driving is required.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in building life skills, routines, and social behaviors.
  • Assist with rehabilitation and behavior support programs.
  • Monitor and document changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition.
  • Provide basic care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal needs.
  • Administer medication once certified as a Level 1 Medication Aide (training provided).
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities (driving is required).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
  • Participate in emergency response and safety procedures.
  • Complete documentation accurately and on time.

Department: Adult Residential Intensive

Location: El Dorado Springs - Southwest Psychiatric Facility

Reporting To: Kristin McNeece, April Lamb, Jaime Hansen

Compensation: $19.00 / hour

Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 40 hours weekly.

A Behavioral Technician (Internal title: Community Living Instructor) provides support to adults with behavioral health needs in a residential or community setting.

In this role, you’ll ensure the safety, well-being, and daily success of the individuals we serve. You’ll provide hands‑on support with daily living skills, social engagement, behavior management, and more — all while helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • High School/GED required
Work Experience
  • At least one (1) year of work experience or self-employment required
  • A valid unrestricted driver's license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's license by the end of 60-day introductory period required
  • Basic computer skills required
