Job summary

Viva Superheroes Behavior Services in Whittier, CA is seeking a Behavioral Therapist to join our team. You will help clients identify and overcome challenging behaviors and provide one-on-one therapy to children and adults living with developmental disabilities.

The role emphasizes evidence-based techniques, caregiver coaching, and meticulous documentation of progress. You will transport to client homes as needed and must maintain compassionate, professional service in accordance with licensing

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation to clients' homes and valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• RBT certification or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational skills for program development.
• Clean criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their behaviors.
• Develop strategies to help patients improve their behaviors.
• Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan.
• Perform regular wellness checks.
