Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Duties and Responsibilities reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all related work assignments that may be inherent to the job.

1. Monitor substance abuse client’s progress with respect to the provisions of the treatment plan and document in the clinical record.
2. Evaluate impact of service on substance abuse client’s quality of life.
3. Advocate for substance abuse clients to ensure that their needs are met.
4. Shows maturity and sensitivity to the special needs of the co-occurring disorder population.
5. Link and refer substance abuse clients to all internal and external services needed.
6. Coordinate cases to facilitate implementation of the treatment plan.
7. Manage case records to assure that proper documentation meets standard of practice requirement.
8. Provide supportive crisis counseling to substance abuse clients when needed.
9. Assist with initial evaluations and assessments.
10. Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

1. As a 24-hour facility you are required to be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
2. High School graduate or G.E.D. Certificate.
3. Maturity and sensitivity to the special needs of the mentally ill population.
4. Ability to assess needs of consumers.
5. Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal direction supervision.
7. Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.

10. Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees.
11. COMPUTER SKILLS: Must have Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the use of personal computers, and standard office productivity software.
12. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. A valid Class E Drivers’ License for positions that require driving personal or Agency vehicle.
2. Must maintain a minimum Bodily Injury & Property Liability insurance limit of at least $50,000 for positions that require driving personal own vehicle (POV) on Agency business. (Proof Required).
3. PPBH is a 24/7 Agency. All employees must be available as needed when required.
