Job summary

Westside Community Schools is seeking a Skilled Support Specialist/Behaviors at i66 Westbrook Elementary in Omaha, NE. The role provides on-site and consultative support to staff, students and families to facilitate positive behavioral change.

The position is full-time for 10 months, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and PBIS training desirable. Salary is $22.15 per hour, and responsibilities include collaboration with staff and program management to support student goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Project Para required.
• Experience in special education and working with at-risk students or students with disruptive behavior.
• Training in PBIS is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor behavioral crisis situations and respond quickly and effectively.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and modify student behavior programming.
• Communicate with parents and administrators about behaviors and discipline.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare clear reports as required.
