Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Concord, CA is hiring a Behavioral Caregiver to support children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. This role involves one-to-one behavior interventions, assisting with daily living activities, and data collection on goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in an educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
