Job summary

Coastal Care Home Care & ADT in Ruskin, FL is seeking compassionate caregivers to support individuals with daily living needs and behavioral challenges. You will implement Behavioral Support Plans, de-escalate incidents, prepare meals, and help with hygiene, mobility, and transportation.

This role offers a flexible schedule, opportunities for training, paid time off, and a full- or part-time shift including overnight coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• CPR/First Aid (preferred or willing to obtain).
• BA/PCM certified (preferred or willing to obtain).
• Previous experience in Intensive Behavior.
• Previous experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Ability to remain calm and use de-escalation techniques during behavioral incidents.
• Ability to prepare simple, balanced meals.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• ADP Training (preferred).
• Pass a background check.
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record.
• Car Insurance/Tag Registration.
• Reliable.
• Report to work on time.
• Neat and organized.
• Pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement and follow Behavioral Support Plans and de-escalation techniques as trained
• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, hygiene
• Monitor, document, and report on client behavior, incidents, and progress
• Prepare basic, nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs
• Support residents during behavioral outbursts while maintaining a safe environment
• Maintain a healthy and comfortable living environment
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
• Light housekeeping
