Job summary

Coastal Care Home Care & ADT in Ruskin, FL is seeking compassionate caregivers to support individuals with daily living activities and behavioral needs in a residential setting.

The role includes implementing Behavior Support Plans, de-escalation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and thorough documentation. A valid driver license and background check are required; CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain.
• BA/PCM certified preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with Intensive Behavior and individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to stay calm and use de-escalation techniques during behavioral incidents.
• Reliable, punctual, neat and organized with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Background check required; valid Florida driver’s license with clean record; car insurance/registration.
• In-person commute to Apollo Beach, FL 33572.

Responsibilities

• Implement and follow Behavioral Support Plans and de-escalation techniques as trained
• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, hygiene
• Monitor, document, and report on client behavior, incidents, and progress
• Prepare basic, nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs
• Support residents during behavioral outbursts while maintaining a safe environment
• Maintain a healthy and comfortable living environment
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
• Light housekeeping
