Job summary

Sand Springs Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional Behavior Tech for the Northwoods Fine Arts Academy for the 2025-2026 school year. The role supports students with challenging behaviors and assists the teacher in implementing behavior plans.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, registry training, CPR/First Aid, and ongoing development. The position is exempt, 180 days, 7 hours daily with hourly pay of $15.18 plus a 10% stipend.

Qualifications

• State Department of Education Paraprofessional Registry Training.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid training.
• Complete universal precautions training.
• Complete 6 hours of personnel development each school year.
• Tier I and Tier II paraprofessionals require a dual background check and SDE certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction and activities for individuals or groups as assigned.
• Supervise students in instructional settings and during non-instructional activities.
• Prepare, create, and adapt instructional material as directed by the teacher.
• Carry out a behavior intervention plan created for specific students with fidelity.
• Assist students with assignments.
• Assist with behavior management strategies and respond to escalations.
• Track behaviors and report behavior escalations.
• Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate.
• May assist students with personal care needs and getting on/off the school bus.
• Assist the teacher with compiling students' work to send home.
• Perform extra duties to supervise students during lunch, detention, or after school.
