Job summary

The Summit Center in Amherst, NY is seeking a Behavioral Support Consultant to provide clinical support, lead Behavioral Support Technicians, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement effective behavior plans.

Bachelor’s degree is required (special education or school psychology); Master’s degree preferred. The role includes data-based consultations, assessments, reporting, training staff, crisis intervention, and ensuring IEP mandates are fulfilled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education, school psychology, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in developing and implementing behavioral support plans with developmentally disabled individuals using Applied Behavior Analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-based behavioral consultation to classroom teams.
• Complete behavioral assessments.
• Develop and write required reports.
• Measure student progress on interim behavioral protocols and behavior intervention plans.
• Train staff in best practice methods.
• Provide and oversee crisis intervention services for students.

Education
