Job summary

The Summit Center is recruiting a Behavioral Support Consultant in Amherst, NY. You will provide clinical support, lead behavioral assessments, and develop and implement behavior plans for children and adults with developmental and behavioral challenges.

You will supervise Behavioral Support Technicians, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure interventions are data-driven and aligned with IEPs and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-based behavioral consultation to classroom teams.
• Complete behavioral assessments.
• Develop and write required reports.
• Measure student progress on interim behavioral protocols and behavior intervention plans.
• Train staff in best practice methods.
• Provide and oversee crisis intervention services for students.
• Ensure that IEP mandates are fulfilled.
• Maintain all records required.
