Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.
• Certification or endorsement in the area of special education.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record; must meet and maintain liability coverage eligibility.
• Fingerprinting background check clearance required; non-refundable fee paid by employee (~$50).

Responsibilities

• Co-teach with general and/or special education teachers to improve classroom behavior systems.
• Provide demonstration teaching to model positive behavior supports.
• Work with students displaying behavior difficulties in the classroom.
• Develop and implement Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Attend ARD/IEP meetings to assist in behavior planning.
• Maintain accurate written records per program requirements.
• Provide staff development on behavior management and related topics.
