Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team in Danvers, MA. You will support adults with severe mental illness through evidence-based interventions in residential or community settings.

The role emphasizes recovery-oriented care, cultural competence, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Schedule is Friday–Sunday, 11pm–9am for 30 hours weekly, with a $20.50 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals.
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.
