Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Danvers, MA seeks a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. You will deliver evidence-based interventions to adults with severe mental illness, work within a multidisciplinary team, and support recovery, rehabilitation, and client goals.

The role emphasizes culturally competent, strengths-based care and transportation support for clients, with a Friday-Sunday, 11pm-9am schedule (30 hours) and an hourly rate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
