Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a BCBA with experience in special education to support schools in implementing ABA-based behavior management strategies and FBAs/BIPs. The role focuses on coaching teachers, conducting observations, and developing intervention plans in collaboration with staff and families.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred from an accredited university.
  • BCBA certification preferred.
  • Two years of special education classroom teaching experience required.
  • Ability to work well with others and lead
  • Desire to be part of a team and travel to campuses
  • Willingness to plan professional development for staff
  • Willingness to further develop skills as necessary
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance as per state
  • Ability to perform required physical functions (standing, sitting, movements)
  • May need to move or position equipment up to ~15 pounds
  • Ability to handle interruptions and remain calm under stress
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Assist campus staff with FBAs, BIPs, and behavior improvement plans.
  • Model positive behavioral intervention strategies for classroom teachers.
  • Assist teachers in analyzing behavior and developing intervention strategies.
  • Support teachers and special education staff in implementing behavior strategies.
  • Complete FBAs and BIPs as requested by ARD committee.
  • Provide professional development as requested.
  • Conduct student and teacher observations to support interventions, FBAs, and BIPs.

Job description

  • Work with special education teachers to develop and implement ABA-based behavior management strategies in classrooms
  • Provide specific behavior intervention supports to students
  • Assist campus staff with functional behavior assessments, behavior improvement plans, positive behavior supports, and behavior management plans
  • Model positive behavioral intervention strategies for classroom teachers
  • Assist teachers in analyzing behavior and developing intervention strategies
  • Support teachers and special education staff in implementing behavior strategies
  • Complete FBAs and BIPs when requested by the ARD committee
  • Provide professional development as requested
  • Conduct student and teacher observations to support behavior interventions, FBAs, and BIPs
  • Compile, maintain, and file physical and computerized reports and records
  • Participate in staff development activities
  • Support district student management policies and expected student behavior
  • Maintain professional relationships and open communication with principals, teachers, staff, parents, and community members
Requirements
