Job summary

MyPath is hiring a Behavioral Service Specialist to monitor and provide active support to clients and direct support staff in residential settings for individuals with complex behavioral challenges. Use your human services experience to assist adults with disabilities in our Wisconsin programs.

You will respond to behavioral events, investigate incidents, mentor staff, and contribute to trainings and case records.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years in Human Services.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills; highly organized; able to work under tight deadlines and with little direction.

Responsibilities

• Responds urgently to behavioral events to provide staff with assistance, direct intervention, and post-event support.
• Investigates behavioral incidents, reviews training records, and shares findings with leadership.
• Mentors on-floor staff through training under supervision.
• Assists in preparing root cause analyses and reports for management review.
• Participates in reports to internal/external stakeholders and updates Behavioral Support Plans as assigned.
• Contributes to training program enhancements based on events and best practices.
