Job summary

Libertana in Los Angeles is seeking a Behavioral Respite Clinical Manager to provide clinical leadership for the Behavioral Respite program serving individuals with developmental and behavioral needs. Qualifications

  • BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising RBTs and/or clinical staff.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior plan development, data analysis, and ABA methodologies.

Position: Behavioral Respite Clinical Manager

Pay Range: $120,000-$150,000 PER YR

Reporting To: VP of Clinical & Direct Care Services

Work Type: On-site

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Behavioral Respite Clinical Manager provides clinical leadership and oversight for the Behavioral Respite program serving individuals with developmental and behavioral needs. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, evidence-based behavioral services, supervising clinical staff, and maintaining compliance with all Behavior Analyst Certification Board standards and applicable state regulations.

The Clinical Manager plays a critical role in developing individualized behavior intervention strategies, monitoring client progress, and supporting staff and families through training and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience providing ABA services
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience supervising RBTs and/or clinical staff
  • Strong knowledge of behavior plan development, data analysis, and ABA methodologies
  • Experience in Respite care, crisis intervention, or short-term behavioral support settings preferred
  • Leadership or program development experience preferred
  • Familiarity with California Regional Center systems and regulations preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Oversight & Program Development
  • Review individualized client plans provided by state/regional agencies and translate them into effective, client-centered behavior intervention plans
  • Develop and oversee implementation of behavior support plans for use by Behavioral Respite Professionals
  • Ensure all interventions align with best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Design and implement meaningful data collection systems tied to consumer goals (skill acquisition and behavior reduction)
  • Monitor consumer progress through ongoing data review and adjust plans as needed
Staff Supervision & Training
  • Provide clinical supervision to Behavioral Respite Professionals to ensure fidelity of behavior plan implementation
  • Conduct competency assessments for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) candidates in accordance with Behavior Analyst certification Board requirements
  • Delivering ongoing supervision to RBTs, ensuring compliance with supervision standards
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to staff across all levels
Training & Education
  • Facilitate RBT exam preparation study groups for staff pursuing certification
  • Develop and deliver parent/caregiver training sessions (individual and group formats)
  • Provide education on behavior management strategies, data collection, and skill-building techniques
Data & Quality Assurance
  • Establish and maintain systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards
  • Use data to drive clinical decisions and continuous program improvement
  • Support audits and ensure program compliance with state and funding requirements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Case Managers and Regional Centers
  • Serve as the clinical point of contact for program-related concerns
  • Contribute to program development, policies, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Promote a culture of ethical practice, accountability, and continuous learning
General Responsibilities & Compliance
  • Conduct all functions in accordance with agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Driving may be required throughout territories we services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use of hands and fingers to operate computer, telephone, and keyboard on a frequent basis (Up to 75% of the time).
  • Close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required (up to 25lbs).
